Teachers trying their hand at project-based learning (PBL) may need clarification on strengthening their project ideas and making them the best possible learning experiences for students. This session provides a research-informed framework for getting started with PBL and a few strategies for defining and organizing the student experience that can considerably improve academic, social, and emotional learning outcomes. Participants will glean that when executed effectively, the PBL+ framework provides elements like authenticity, feedback protocols, and emotional intelligence skills educators can adapt to create the conditions for learning to stick and continue after projects.
